Associate Editors
The Associate Editor is responsible for maintaining ongoing communication with the Managing Editor, Publishing Manager, and other relevant CLS staff, and should be responsive when support is needed. In collaboration with the Editor-in-Chief and Section Editor-in-Chief, the Associate Editor should:
- Advise on the journal's strategic direction;
- Provide input to the Editor-in-Chief and Section Editor-in-Chief on the journal's Aims and Scope;
- Offer support and guidance to Editorial Board Members and Editorial Staff as needed;
- Oversee the editorial process for manuscripts within their section, particularly by making final publication decisions post peer-review and revisions;
- Propose themes for Special Issues and assist in selecting Guest Editors to lead them;
- Invite prominent scientists to join the Editorial Board;
- Serve as an ambassador for the journal, CLS, and Open Access publishing.
