Section Editor-in-Chief

The Section Editor-in-Chief plays a pivotal role as a leader within their specialized field, ensuring the scientific rigor of a specific journal section. They are responsible for guiding the growth and development of the journal's sections and its editorial board members. The initial term is for two years, during which the Section Editor-in-Chief will:

  • Serve as an ambassador for the journal, CLS, and the principles of Open Access publishing.
  • Make key scientific decisions concerning the scope of their section.
  • Invite distinguished scientists to join the Editorial Board.
  • Propose topics for Special Issues.
  • Provide support and guidance to Editorial Board Members and staff as needed.
  • Oversee the editorial process for manuscripts in their section, including making the final decision on publication after peer review and revisions.
  • Understand, lead, and uphold CLS’s peer review and ethics guidelines.
