Research Grant Scope

The CLS Research Grant aims to foster high-quality research by providing financial support for projects that demonstrate scholarly significance and societal impact. Research proposals should address critical gaps, present novel hypotheses, or offer practical applications to solve contemporary challenges. We welcome projects from diverse fields, including but not limited to:
Science & Engineering: Proposals exploring advanced technologies, environmental sciences, material innovation, artificial intelligence, and renewable energy solutions.
Health & Life Sciences: Studies focusing on improving healthcare delivery, novel treatment approaches, public health, and epidemiology.
Social Sciences & Humanities: Research addressing socio-economic issues, cultural studies, policy analysis, and education.
Business & Economics: Projects on financial modeling, entrepreneurship, market analysis, and organizational behavior.

Rules and Regulations

Eligibility:
+   The grant is open to researchers, academic faculty, post-doctoral fellows, and PhD candidates from accredited institutions worldwide.
+ Collaborative projects are permitted but must designate a Principal Investigator (PI) responsible for project management and reporting.

Proposal Requirements:
+   Proposals must be submitted in English and include a clear statement of objectives, methodology, anticipated outcomes, and budget justification.
+   Each submission must not exceed 25,000 words, excluding references, figures, and appendices.

Funding Limitations:
+   The grant amount of $2000 USD is to be used solely for research-related expenses such as data collection, materials, software, and participant compensation.
+   The funds cannot be used for salary supplements, conference travel, or indirect institutional costs.

Timeline:
+   Proposals must be submitted by [insert deadline date]. Successful applicants will be notified within 45 days of the submission deadline.
+   The project should be completed within 12 months of grant receipt, and extensions may be requested with proper justification.

Reporting Requirements:
+   Recipients must submit a mid-term progress report and a final report outlining the research findings and budget expenditure.
+   All published results from the grant-funded research should acknowledge CLS support.

Grant Acceptance

By accepting the grant, recipients agree to use the funds for the proposed research project only and must adhere to the guidelines set by CLS.

Intellectual Property

CLS does not claim any ownership rights over the intellectual property generated through the research. However, researchers must grant CLS the right to promote the outcomes of the funded projects.

Compliance with Ethics

All research activities must comply with the ethical standards and guidelines of the recipient's home institution. Projects involving human or animal subjects must provide relevant ethical clearances.

Budget Modifications

Any changes to the budget or project timeline must be pre-approved by CLS. Unspent funds must be returned to CLS within 30 days after the project’s conclusion.

Grant Termination

CLS reserves the right to terminate the grant and request reimbursement if the recipient fails to meet project milestones, misuses funds, or violates any terms and conditions.
