Conflict of interest
Authors, editors, and reviewers are all required to declare any conflicts of interest when engaging with CrossLink Studies. Such conflicts may arise from financial or personal interests in the research outcomes, undisclosed financial support from third parties with a vested interest, or any interest in hindering the research's publication. It's imperative that a statement clarifying the nature of the financial support or any potential conflicts of interest be attached to the manuscript before the review process commences. Should there be any suspicion of a conflict of interest, it must be reported directly to the editor or to CrossLink Studies. Concerns specifically about an editor should be directed to the journal publisher or book commissioning editor at CrossLink Studies, which adheres to the COPE flowcharts for addressing suspected conflicts of interest.
In dealing with these matters, CrossLink Studies is committed to acting professionally and impartially, ensuring fairness and objectivity throughout. The accused will always be contacted to provide their perspective before any decisions are taken or actions are finalized. Adequate time will be given for responses from all involved parties, and updates on decisions will be communicated clearly, including to copyright owners, editors, and authors. As a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics, CrossLink Studies follows the protocols outlined in COPE's flowcharts rigorously.
The organization takes seriously its duty to safeguard the moral rights of authors, including recognition and accurate representation, and to maintain the integrity of the literature record. Should ethical misconduct be identified before publication, CrossLink Studies reserves the right to revoke any acceptance of the manuscript.
While it's understood that not every decision will satisfy all parties involved, CrossLink Studies ensures that any resolution reached follows a thorough and equitable process. Ultimately, the final verdict in any contentious issue will be determined by the editor in conjunction with CrossLink Studies.
